Jennifer and Chris are extremely laid back and easy going. They went for a small, quaint wedding at Toronto’s St George’s Golf and Country Club.
I knew their wedding was going to unfold in a relaxed way the moment I met with them for their engagement photos. Even though the weather has been slightly moody on their big April day, the wind played with Jennifer’s beautiful veil allowing for some fun, spontaneous images. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself both capturing their great unfolding moments and also while interacting with some of the most fun guests I have seen at such an event. My table was so much fun, I recall our great laughs and once in a while, funny shots as a consequence.
All in all, this wedding was simply great, a breeze to photograph!
Dear Jennifer and Chris, I wish you all the best in your new life together! Many thanks for allowing me to witness your union in marriage!
Hugs, M.

Cayley and Ian love winter. They got married at Toronto’s unique Capitol Theater this January on a beautiful, snowy day. It is a brave decision that, with a bit of luck, can be rewarded plenty. And this is exactly what happened with this lovely couple. Their celebrations were beautiful, picturesque and topped up with big snow flakes slowly dancing down from the sky and making for a dreamy, romantic setting.
I loved the fact that the two of them decided to see each other before the ceremony and take full advantage of day light for photos. Ian waited for his lovely future wife at the Knox College on the U of T campus. This is where they saw each other for the first time and I got goose bumps witnessing this deeply emotional part of their day. What a blessing to be around such lovely people while capturing their shared intimate, love filled moments…
Cayley and Ian, I hope you had a beautiful honeymoon away in Europe. I would like to thank you again for allowing me to be there with you on a truly special day I will remember for quite a few reasons. Congratulations and all the very best to you! Hugs, Manuela & Co.

Daniela and Mike did something quite special: decided to get married on New Year’s eve and celebrate at the Copper Creek Golf Club in Kleinburg. How romantic is that? From now on, the entire world will party with them every year on December 31st with champagne and fireworks!! Their wedding was infused with old Hollywood style and elegance. Wonderful details like Daniela’s Aruna Seth shoes, her stunning Jenny Packham gown and unique jewel bouquet made by Daniela’s super talented sister in law have shone throughout the day.
Everything has unfolded perfectly on their day: the temperature was unusually high so we could freely take some nice pictures outside. After the ceremony, even though we lost a bit of the daylight, we found the most amazing spot for photos: the old train station in Kleinburg. We managed to play with the available light and create a certain mood around the two of them to match their style to perfection. We ended up with a collection of very special images with a timeless feel to them.
Needless to mention how much fun the party has been. I have not seen a bunch more willing to dance the night away than their guests. From the moment they got into the beautifully decorated room, the dance floor got filled with a vibrant crowd that has not stopped from getting into the groove for quite a few hours.
Daniela and Mike, hope you had a fantastic honeymoon in Hawaii. I am wishing you lots of happiness for many years to come and I will raise a glass of champagne for you every year on December 31st!
Best, Manuela

Natalie and Jasper currently live in Amsterdam. She is Canadian, he is Dutch. Together they simply are a lot of fun. It is a pleasure to be around this kind of intoxicating energy. After first meeting with them I knew I was going to have a great time while capturing their day. They decided to celebrate their union at the elegant National Club in Toronto. After the ceremony held at St Paul’s Basilica located downtown Toronto, they traveled to the U of T campus in a gorgeous, jewel like antique Ford booked by Natalie’s parents as a surprise. In spite of the rain threat and the few drops that managed to sneak down from the sky, we had a fantastic time together and everything worked out perfectly well. I could have not asked for more from a creative perspective and it was difficult to narrow down the photos for this blog
Natalie and Jasper, I hope to see more of you when you move to Toronto. I wish you a great 2011 and much happiness in your life together! Love, Manuela.

Melissa and Mark decided to hold their wedding ceremony and reception at the chic King Edward hotel downtown Toronto. I love it when everything is so close by, it always makes for a more relaxed day. This way I got to spend some time with both the girls and boys and had some fun in the area. I mentioned before how much I love photographing downtown Toronto. And no matter how many times this happens, I still end up being surprised by the textures, colours and corners around. This was the case on such a lovely October day and I think the photos below will speak for themselves.
Melissa and Mark, it was great being with you on your day and I wish you much happiness together! Hug, Manuela & Co.

Janny and Howard had two days of wonderful fun. I had a hard time going through all the images trying to narrow them down so I could tell their story in the most evocative way. Janny and I share the love for red. I like how this accent stands out throughout their photo essay. Following their wedding ceremony at The Manor, we met again next day for some park fun. In spite of the fact that we had to wait for over half an hour for the rain to stop, we somehow lucked out and we could play around in the most beautiful light. And guess what, we found more red elements to add to the story! It was a very nice and relaxed shoot, the wedding party was cheerful and in the mood for a cool photographic experience. We all went to the Diamond Banquet Hall afterwords where I witnessed a fantastic dance the couple performed in front of an astonished audience. I was so very impressed by their elegance, not to mention the fact that Janny looked so beautifully Spanish in her stunning red dress. I want one just like that, Janny please let me know if you sell it!
Janny and Howard, may you stay very happy and dance away for years to come! Hug, Manuela & Co.

Heejung and Alexander had a fantastic wedding day loaded with culture, colours and lots of fun. It was a great pleasure to attend their Korean ceremony held at the Doctor’s House, following an intricate dressing ritual that was a blast to witness. I will have the great opportunity to see them dressed this way again sometime soon, when we are going to do their outfits even more justice by documenting their details creatively in a post wedding photo shoot. I very much look forward to it.
Loved every minute of their day, even though so much took place. But these two are so relaxed and laid back which sets the tone around. Their wedding party was a riot, kids enjoyed themselves tremendously, food was awesome and the ice cream….yummm! For those asking themselves this question, nobody was set on fire!
Thank you for having me there with you! M

Ella and Jerry had a beautiful ceremony downtown Toronto at the beautiful Our Lady of Lourdes on Sherbourne Str. Even though the day started with a bit of rain, the skies generously opened up slowly making for the most photographically desirable light. All colours popped, the trees were still in bloom, tulips everywhere…a true dream! We had fun exploring the scenery around The Osgoode Hall, taking advantage of both nature and architecture. Jerry’s red Mustang added some special flavor to this super enjoyable experience, what a great touch to the images we captured! The reception took place at the elegant Royalton in Vaughan and I was super impressed with the stylish decor and not to mention, the fantastic choice of food! The couple’s admirable good taste reflected in every single detail of their day and I felt truly inspired to be there and capture its spirit.
Congratulations Ella & Jerry, I am sure your honeymoon in Italy was a great continuation of a wonderful celebration with your family and friends!
