Elizabeth and I met in Sicily back in 2010. Due to a fortunate chain of events we ended up staying at the same fantastic vila. We connected right away on many levels and I recall our laughs with great pleasure. We truly felt we must have been sisters in a previous life! Since, we have had long, deep conversations over the phone and have exchanged soul soothing emails. She is a special human being and I am very happy to have her in my life. Needless to say, I was super excited for her the moment she announced the engagement to Dan, her boyfriend of a few years. They met in Buffalo while she was doing her Master’s at the Buffalo State College. Fate? I would think so! I have not had the pleasure to meet her fiancĂ© until their wedding day. And I was very content to discover that Elizabeth could have not chosen to spend the rest of her life with someone better suited: a gentleman in all senses. I felt fortunate to get to spend so many hours around them that pretty mild January day and I could have not thought of a better way of part taking in all the emotion while capturing some great moments through my lens. Their choice of a venue was fantastic, the quaint Queen’s Landing in Niagara on the Lake still had all the Christmas decorations up so the celebrations felt even more festive.
Dear Sissy Beth and your lovely Dan, I am wishing you both a new path paved with love, mutual support, fun, health and many wild dreams coming true!! Lots of love, Sissy M.

I always love it when the couples I have the pleasure to work with are laid back and fun. Lisa and Mike are a pleasure to be around and so easy to capture. Our photographic journey started this past summer with a fun engagement session at the Harbourfront where we walked around, laughed a lot and enjoyed some great gelato. For their wedding day the two of them decided to take pictures before the ceremony and I always love when that happens. Because it creates the opportunity of spending some relaxed time together and creating a lovely collection of images without any time pressure. Strolling through a beautiful forrest just outside of the Old Mill we have thoroughly enjoyed each possible spot, while being wrapped in a beautiful, soft light. Quite dreamy I have to say. The result is for you to enjoy.
Lisa and Mike, I am very happy we got to meet through a nice chain of coincidences. Congratulations and stay at your happiest over many years to come! Hugs, Manuela

Olivia and Louis are a lot of fun. It has been simply effortless to capture them at their most relaxed and natural way of being. First we had a great engagement session at the Bluffs followed by their great fall wedding held at the quaint King Valley Golf and Country Club. Their day was fantastic: beautiful weather (a bit cool in the afternoon, but they were such good sports when it came down to modeling…), cocktails on the terrace, amazing food and of course, lots and lots of fun. Their friends came up with some of the most interesting game ideas which got the crowd going and the atmosphere turned exuberant. Not to mention the dancing! This bunch really loved to move! All in all, simply a great day!
Olivia and Louis, thank you for having us capture your great day, congratulations and keep on having fun together! Hugs, Manuela.

I simply love the way Hanna and Matthew’s wedding photos stayed colourfully consistent with their engagement images we took downtown Toronto. I know how much they like vibrant tones and I am thrilled for the fact that their celebrations were such a representation of their vision. Despite the rain that decided to start just when we were on our way to Kleinburg for photos, everything ended up working out just smoothly. Umbrellas are always fun and such a romantic element that add a nice touch to the photographs.
The celebrations that followed were intensely joyous, with a lot of fun and even exotic dancers! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed each and every second.
Hanna and Matt, enjoy the years to come and make the best out of them, simply enjoying each other while walking on your new path together! Manuela

I am running a bit behind with my blogs…this is the price I have to pay for traveling around
Lindsay and Jeff’s summer wedding was elegant, chique and fun. Here are some of their engagement photos from Toronto Island.
I chose a few of my wedding faves below, enjoy!
Congratulations to another beautiful couple! Manuela

A few years ago I went on a lovely hike leading to a cedar making farm. On the way there, to my great surprise, we passed through the lovely grounds of Eaton Hall. At the time I did not know this little castle like property existed. Nor did I have any idea that, years later, I would get to photograph a lovely wedding right there. Needless to say how excited I was when Tiffany and Chris told me this was their chosen location for the wedding ceremony. Having done their engagement photo shoot back in May offered me the chance to knowing them better. Looking at the images we got I simply knew we were going to have some fun on their big day. I could have not asked for better weather, more picturesque surroundings and nicer subjects. The two of them have truly enjoyed themselves, along with all their close friends and lovely family members.
Tiffany and Chris, I hope this vibrant record of your day is something you will cherish for years to come and that you will both keep on recalling the lovely celebrations on a great August day! Best to you in your life together! Hugs, Manuela & Co.

Back in August I returned to the Old Mill in Ancaster, this time for Kristen and Frank’s wedding. It is interesting how each couple brings their own personality into a spot. Every wedding I have photographed there had a different flavor. The only thing I am thrilled to see as a constant is Reverend McNally’s beautiful ceremony. There is something so different about this gentleman, a certain passion and for sure, an ability to deliver the same love filled words to each couple. I have not quite seen anyone blessing the rings the same way he does. He is now retired but still loves doing his job and I have to say, he does it equally well each time. A joy to witness!
I loved the fresh colours this wedding has displayed. Starting with Kristen’s fantastic Poetic License shoes that had “I DO” crafted on their soles! And, even though it has rained during the ceremony (Kristen was very well prepared for that with cool umbrellas and funky rubber boots), the spirits have been up for the entire time. And maybe just because of this, the torrential rain has stopped right in time for some fun photos. How amazing is that??!
Kristen and Frank, thank you for having made us a part of your great celebrations, enjoy each other’s company for many many years to come and hope the rain on your day will only mean good luck and abundance. Big hug, Manuela

I am beginning with the end of a wonderful series of celebrations around Anita and Richard’s wedding.
They wanted to have a fun photo booth at their reception so that guests could really enjoy themselves in front of the camera. The result is a collection of colourful, super playful and sometimes goofy images that I am sure will bring smiles on everyone’s faces.
I will be back soon with the photo story of their wedding. Enjoy! Manuela

Sarah moved to New York to study physiotherapy. This is how she met Andrew. They decided to celebrate their union in Toronto with their family members and friends. A few days only after my return from my great European travels I was still in a dreamy mode but I knew I was going to enjoy my summer in Toronto. And this great wedding was simply the best way to get back into the groove. That July day was beautiful, with sunshine and bright greens everywhere. Such a promise for a beautiful season we have all enjoyed this year. I had a lot of fun photographing Sarah and Andrew, not to mention how much I enjoyed the fantastic Mojitos made during their cocktail hour in Edwards Gardens. I get very thirsty looking at the photos
Sarah and Andrew, may your life together be filled with sweet elixirs and fantastic moments spent over the years to come!
Hugs,
Manuela

Jennifer and Chris are extremely laid back and easy going. They went for a small, quaint wedding at Toronto’s St George’s Golf and Country Club.
I knew their wedding was going to unfold in a relaxed way the moment I met with them for their engagement photos. Even though the weather has been slightly moody on their big April day, the wind played with Jennifer’s beautiful veil allowing for some fun, spontaneous images. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself both capturing their great unfolding moments and also while interacting with some of the most fun guests I have seen at such an event. My table was so much fun, I recall our great laughs and once in a while, funny shots as a consequence.
All in all, this wedding was simply great, a breeze to photograph!
Dear Jennifer and Chris, I wish you all the best in your new life together! Many thanks for allowing me to witness your union in marriage!
Hugs, M.
