Married at the Victoria College Chapel: Giselle and Anthony

After an amazing engagement photo shoot, I knew Giselle and Anthony’s wedding was not going to fall short in terms of fun, excitement and inspiration. The couple got married at the picturesque Victoria College Chapel. What I loved about this location was the abundance of great shooting spots, both inside and outside. The large windows allowing plenty of light to come in were fantastic, not to mention the outside old walls and beautiful arches with lots of character. We had time to play and I loved it. Following a great shoot we all headed to the Diamond Banquet Hall for the reception. There, after changing in their colourful Chinese outfits, Giselle and Anthony witnessed (and so did we all) an absolutely breathtaking traditional Chinese dragon dance, the kind I have not quite seen before, performed by true athletes who exceeded everyone’s expectations. They danced, jumped around and stood tall on each other’s shoulders to the crowd’s amazement. Fun to watch, even more fun to capture!

A beautiful wedding at the Paletta Mansion, Burlington

I was very flattered when Kimberly contacted me last year and told me she felt I was a good match for the kind of location she chose on her wedding day: the elegant Paletta Mansion in Burlington. She knew this place was going to inspire me to a great extent, given the way it is located right on the lake shore, surrounded by a great park, with quaint architectural elements and a beautiful reception room. I have to say, all this was extremely true and I was so very happy to be there for this great couple. The weather could have not been better, Kimberly and Chong literally had a constant glow on their faces. Which made my job a delight!

A stylish wedding at the Art Gallery of Ontario

One of the many great things about this wedding was that it happened on a gorgeous May day. It is my favorite time of the year when everything around blooms coming back to life from the dormant weeks. The grass and leaves become a bright green and the spirit feels rejuvenated just by enjoying this show of freshness nature puts up. It was one of such days I had the privilege to photograph an intimate, elegant, soulful wedding event at the Art Gallery of Ontario. What an amazing choice! If you did not visit the new space redesigned in fantastic style by Frank Gehry, I recommend you do so. It represents an oasis of shapes, curvy staircases and of course, a lot of art. The kind of space natural light falls into in mysterious ways and offers a photographer a dream setting to work with. If I had the time, I would have photographed this lovely couple for hours and hours. The inspiration was simply flowing.

Wedding journals: celebrating in style at the Doctor’s House, Kleinburg

Heejung and Alexander had a fantastic wedding day loaded with culture, colours and lots of fun. It was a great pleasure to attend their Korean ceremony held at the Doctor’s House, following an intricate dressing ritual that was a blast to witness. I will have the great opportunity to see them dressed this way again sometime soon, when we are going to do their outfits even more justice by documenting their details creatively in a post wedding photo shoot. I very much look forward to it.

Loved every minute of their day, even though so much took place. But these two are so relaxed and laid back which sets the tone around. Their wedding party was a riot, kids enjoyed themselves tremendously, food was awesome and the ice cream….yummm! For those asking themselves this question, nobody was set on fire!

A wedding at the Inn on the Twenty, Jordan Niagara

Blanca & Ryan had a fantastic celebration in Jordan Niagara at the gorgeous Inn on the Twenty. What amazes me about this place is that, even though I go back pretty often, it always feels new and fresh as it constantly inspires me. I was so happy to hear these two beautiful people chose to get married there. Their wedding day was spectacular, the soft light worked its magic so we had plenty of fun in the vineyards. Fields and barns are always a great choice to shoot around. I love the city but I am also crazy about the Canadian countryside and its calming effect on the spirit.

An elegant wedding at The Royalton, Vaughan

Ella and Jerry had a beautiful ceremony downtown Toronto at the beautiful Our Lady of Lourdes on Sherbourne Str. Even though the day started with a bit of rain, the skies generously opened up slowly making for the most photographically desirable light. All colours popped, the trees were still in bloom, tulips everywhere…a true dream! We had fun exploring the scenery around The Osgoode Hall, taking advantage of both nature and architecture. Jerry’s red Mustang added some special flavor to this super enjoyable experience, what a great touch to the images we captured! The reception took place at the elegant Royalton in Vaughan and I was super impressed with the stylish decor and not to mention, the fantastic choice of food! The couple’s admirable good taste reflected in every single detail of their day and I felt truly inspired to be there and capture its spirit.

Congratulations Ella & Jerry, I am sure your honeymoon in Italy was a great continuation of a wonderful celebration with your family and friends!

A classy destination wedding at the Grand Sunset Princess, Mexico

I love to travel! But who doesn’t, really? One of the amazing benefits of being a wedding photographer is the chance to follow the couple wherever they decide to exchange their vows. Be it in Toronto or anywhere else in Canada and the globe. I was thrilled when Annie and Daryl told me they decided to have a beach ceremony in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. Therefore, I packed my camera and followed them to this paradise location which is the Grand Sunset Princess resort. How can one not be inspired when all the eye can see is sunshine, turqoise water, white sand? Not to mention being around a group of extremely fun people willing to have tons of laughter and share some unforgettable moments together!!

From the little tea ceremony to the amazing beach party fabulously organized, I have witnessed the magic in their day and enjoyed every second as it unfolded! All I can say is that I was truly thrilled to be there. After not feeling my feet anymore from the beach walking and dancing (of course I got to do a bit of that, too!), I managed to rest until we met again next afternoon for an extremely cool and relaxed ‘trash the dress’ session. Please stay tuned, more to come!

A stylish wedding at the Old Mill, Ancaster

I love it every time I get to shoot at the Old Mill in Ancaster. It is quaint, unique and offers a lot of photographic options. Great choice for Jacquie and Aaron’s wedding. Even though it has been a cool day, the sun was still up and shining through the colourful October leaves. Beautiful ceremony and celebrations, fun to see familiar faces and, one more time, amazing to be part of a fun and emotion filled day. Everything has been carefully thought of in much detail and the event unfolded smoothly.

Best wishes for both of you, dear Jacquie and Aaron, enjoy each other for many years to come! It was a great pleasure to document your day!

A wedding at Queen’s Landing, Niagara on the Lake

Carly & Patrick got married on a gorgeous September day. I love Niagara on the Lake and I was thrilled with their great choice!

I am always inspired whenever I find myself close to the water. Their ceremony took place at the quaint Queen’s Landing. Everybody was relaxed and laid back, but I could constantly feel a lot of emotion in the air. There was one moment in particular that really touched me: both Carly’s grandmothers tied their rings to her bouquet. It was difficult for me to hold back my own tears!

After the ceremony Carly and Patrick were taken in a carriage over to the reception place, the beautiful and elegant Prince of Wales Hotel, Niagara on the Lake’s landmark.

I finished my day with a delicious ice cream at “Cows”, while relaxing and contemplating the way the events have unfolded throughout the day. I felt content and thankful.

Congratulations Carly and Patrick and may your new life together be joy filled!
