Ella and Jerry’s winter engagement photos are cool! :)

Winter can be tricky for photo shoots, especially when one wants to spend time outside and play. Not the case for the Sunday Ella and Jerry picked for their engagement photo session: mild temperature, perfect light, not to mention such cool models! What else could I ask for? We spent about 2 hours walking around the Casa Loma area which is super rich in terms of nice corners and interesting backgrounds. It was fun, in a nutshell!

Ella & Jerry, I very much look forward to your wedding this spring, I promise we will spend a day filled with playfulness and creativity!

Purvi and Pritesh featured in The Wedding Ring

The editors at The Wedding Ring loved the colours and textures in Purvi and Pritesh’s wedding. They kindly decided to feature it in the January issue of the magazine. I am very excited to know that future brides can get inspiration from this beautiful story, while in the process of putting together their dream day.

Purvi and Pritesh, thank you for taking the time to offer this interview and also, I deeply appreciate the kind words you had to say about our photographic experience! Best to you in 2010 and beyond!

An urban photo shoot with a couple of lovely sisters

Alex and Liz thought it would be a great idea to surprise their dad by offering him their framed portraits for Christmas. I decided to go for a creative urban shoot, therefore we met downtown Toronto and explored the area around the Art Gallery of Ontario. Despite the cold and the fairly large snow flakes coming down from the grey sky, the two girls were so easy going, up for anything and a lot of fun to be around. They even commented on the ‘impromptu’ feel of our photographic adventure. With just a general idea on how I would like the session to begin, I allowed things to unfold naturally and the inspiration to kick in while walking down the street, exploring and being drawn by particular corners and textures. I enjoyed myself and I hope Alex and Liz did as well.

Thank you for a good time and all the best in the new year!
